12.15.08 Still working too much at the day job and we've had some excitement and then disappointment at home. I did a few re-edits of songs recently (And One - Panzermensch and Vengaboys - Cheekah Bow Bow (That Computer Song) [for my wife's dancing fun]). I also recently bought an upgrade to SoundForge 9.0. That version includes a good noise reduction utility (which I've been lacking for a few years), so I might start converting some vinyl over the holidays. |

04.26.08 I've been extremely busy with the day job, so no music and almost no other fun stuff has gotten done. I've managed to make some time to do some ship cards and play-aids for Federation Commander and get a few games in here and there, but that's about it. |

01.28.08 I stayed home from work today, due to the snow. This is giving me a chance to work on re-arranging my office/studio space. The turntables are going to get stored for a while, but the drums are going to get set back up. Maybe someday I'll have enough space to keep everything set up at the same time... I did finish my first music project in many months yesterday. I re-created an edit I did of Information Society's "Tomorrow". I did the original "version" of my edit on a cassette deck, using the pause button to edit, way back in 1988. I re-used the ideas from that rough edit and did a nice clean new digital version in AcidPro (sourcing from the CD). I bought the CD at their live show earlier this month, which was the first time I had seen them since (yes, also) 1988. I have two other edits I'm starting: "Kiss Me" by Tin Tin Duffy (which I have wanted to do for 20 years) and "Det Snurrar I Min Skalle" by Familjen. |
